Teaching Business English
Our Business English teacher's course is an intensive 35 hour teacher development program designed to increase the competence and confidence of teachers working in the ever- expanding area of Business English teaching. This week long course is designed for qualified and practicing teachers who are either working in this field or are interested in doing so.
Its true that our TEFL course already includes a two-day workshop on Business English as well as you can get hired teaching English with just the TEFL Certificate. Therefore the purpose of this training is to reinforce lesson planning specifically for teaching Business English, providing an array of ideas for the classroom as well as offering options for teaching Business English freelance and starting your own business.
The program includes the following:
An introduction to ESP (English for Special Purposes)- Business vs. General English
The Design and Administration of the Needs Analysis
Course Design and Extended Simulations
A Review and Evaluation of Published Materials
Incorporating Authentic Material
Approaches and Techniques for Teaching One to One Lessons
Case Study Simulations
Teaching Lexis for Business English
Using Business Contexts; such as Telephoning, Presentations, Meetings and Discussions
Error and Language Analysis
Developing your own contracts and Starting your own Business
Job Assistance/Getting Started Abroad
Our Teaching Business English Certificate is now offered only as a virtual program. The course is conducted live on Zoom every day. Course participants must be native or near-native English speakers, and have a TEFL Certification with some teaching experience.
Teaching Business English Certificate Course Fees: 690 euros including all course materials. The course is held Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 5:00
